I provided on-camera musicians, and came in to coach non-musician extras that were hired in performing historical instruments. I assisted the music supervision team in LA as an on-set music supervisor, providing all musicians throughout the series. This included two choirs, and various groups of musicians playing historical instruments. My company, Music In Vision, provided music coaching for actors Sebastian de Souza, Nicholas Hoult, and groups of singing extras, including Russian dialect coaching for the songs. I represented the wonderful violinist and actor Luke Doyle for his role in ‘The Song Of Names’, dir. Francois Girard, and starring Clive Owen and Tim Roth. I ensured along with his tutors that he was adequately prepared for the musical element of the role, and advised on historical set-up of the violin required.
